Conway Twitty Band (1989-1993)
In 1989 I had the opportunity to play for country artist Conway Twitty. For the first six months I played keyboards. This was because Conway's regular keyboardist (Mike Schrimpf) was seriously injured in an auto accident and unable to perform. When Mike came back to work, I switched over to acoustic guitar and sang backup harmonies. I played with Conway for 4 years and was with him at the time of his death in 1993.
